code: hotgoss - an information code

Time for another code I've been cooking for a while! HOTGOSS was developed after
thisismanx requested a code that could be used to mimic a news website, specifically in the vein of a gossip or clickbait rag. The intent was to create something that could be used to easily and stylishly post things like missed connections, blind items, gossip, and secrets. As such, it comes with a companion styled comment code so that players/contributors can add matchy secrets/missed connections/blind items/whatever as comments on a main post. :)
That all said, HOTGOSS is a pretty straightforward code. By default, it's formatted to accept simple blocks of text. So, you could easily use this as a general information page for a game, an about me post on a CDJ, a log, or any number of things (not unlike '98 modular, really).
This code features the following:

This code features the following:
- A base outer code formatted for blocks of text; your basic information page.
- 1 dotted horizontal divider, which is included in each of the...
- 3 sub-section styles, which include plain text, header image, and in-line image
- 1 styled text area code
- 1 styled comment code
Alright, let's jump right into it. To start, you will need the base code. You can either insert blocks of text directly into the base code, or use one of the subsections to add a bit more style.

HOW TO USE:
❣️ Mind those lj-raw tags!! Especially so for this code.
❣️ This code is mobile compatible and insanejournal friendly! While this code does come with a styled code that will work in comments, the greater code set is NOT comment compatible.
❣️ This code was created to be reminiscent of a blog or gossip website. As such, it's designed to have multiple subsections posted into it. So, just copy paste the subsections you'd like to use in one after the other as you need!
❣️ hex code #4ddbc1 is the primary color for this code used throughout the code. Find and replace this hex code with your preferred color.
❣️ I encourage you to get creative with the colors on this code! I picked a very minty fresh color for the example/default code, and it may not be the most eyeball friendly lol
❣️ hex code #b5ffe1 is used only as the background for the custom textarea/form code. I recommend using a light neutral color, white, black, or a very light version of the primary color in this spot.
❣️ hex code #ccffea is used only as an offset color for the styled textarea code. I suggest using something that is either a very light or very desaturated version of your primary color, or a contrasting color.
❣️ hex code #fff is WHITE, and is used for the header text in several places, as well as the border color for images. You can change this, as well, though it works well as-is with most possible colors.
❣️ The top and bottom banners can potentially receive a seamless tile background or large image. Personally, I had some difficulty getting the code to look as sharp as I'd like with a background for the header and footer bars, but if you'd like to try your hand, find and replace BK_IMA_HERE in the code with the url for the image you'd like to use.
❣️ As uzh, if you're using one of the sub-sections that has images, look for IMAGE_URL and replace that with the URL of the image you'd like to use!
❣️ Watch for !!WORDS SURROUNDED BY EXCLAMATION POINTS!! as this indicates where you should be changing text.
❣️ Just an FYI, I think the header for the top of the code works best if you only use a word or two. It'll fit a few words, but will get wonky if you put too much text.
❣️ The individual smaller headers, on the other hand, have a good bit of space for a longer header, like an article title!
❣️ This code has a credit at the bottom of the main code. It's clearly marked if you want to remove it, but I'd appreciate it if you'd leave it there!
❣️ I love peeking at what people do with my codes, so feel free to comment if you use! If you're feeling generous, you can also donate to my ko-fi
